Baroque Meets Bunny

Porcelain carries a long history – a symbol of elegance and refinement. But there’s a harsh truth attached to it: porcelain cannot be recycled. So what do you do with all those discarded baroque figurines that have lost their charm? For me, that’s where the magic of transformation begins.
I give these forgotten pieces a new story. By replacing the classical human faces with rabbit heads, a playful tension arises: kitsch turns into art, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Suddenly, you’re no longer looking at a dusty heirloom but at an object with humor, personality, and a touch of absurdity.
This series even made its way to Paul Smith’s exhibition space in London – a perfect meeting of old and new, waste and art. Knowing Paul’s love for rabbits, I gifted him one of these unique pieces. A small gesture, adding another layer to the story of this work.
Waste gains value when we give it new meaning – sometimes, that’s all art needs to do.
